It is 16 years since I did this interview, but the urgency of the topic has only increased.
Sea Shepherd is a well established organisation, and whale numbers are on the increase, but marine life remains in serious decline and biodiversity loss threatens ecosystems and humanity. As Captain Paul Watson says, “The movement requires diversity.” We can all do only what we can do. Regardless, the need for action is obvious and the more we can do the better.
